At Les Cabanes de La Réserve, we are committed to using our site as a means of raising awareness about the territory, biodiversity and its resources. We work hand in hand with the department and the region to promote local tourism and contribute to the attractiveness of our territory.

Located in the region of Hauts de France, north of Paris, the Oise (60) is full of treasures. You will discover an exceptional cultural and natural heritage of 128,000 hectares: forests and gardens, castles, exotic villages, churches and cathedrals... So, take advantage of your stay in a cabin to relax, walk, read, play, play, discover, pedal, visit, row...

Bike ride on the edge of a lake - Cabanes de le Réserve

Biking, walking and boating

The Cabanes de La Réserve estate, with its 35 hectares of nature between ponds, glade and forest in the Oise, is a real playground for your walks or bike rides (rental of classic bikes and electric bikes at the reception).

Our boats are also available for those who wish to enjoy the estate as it flows.

For rainy weather, we lend boots, umbrellas and hiking shoes Eagle at the reception. Do not hesitate to ask our reception agents for your size!

Pêche

At Les Cabanes de La Réserve, we allow “no kill” fishing for our cabaneurs as well as for the outside public.

You can fish:

  • From the 3 fishing stations: Elodée, Indiana and Kamloops
  • But also from some huts: Au Fil de l'Eau, Indigo, Indigo, Terra Cotta, Halte Sauvage, Amaranth, Ecrin de Jade...

Fishing is possible from 8 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm. Swimming is not allowed.

Others

Mini farm: Come and discover our charming dwarf goats and pigs in our mini-farm near the reception!

Glade: From the top of the huts perched in the trees, you may be lucky enough to see a deer, a wild boar or a squirrel!

But also, in your cabin: To get the full experience, press the pause button and enjoy the moment. Our disconnection tips: read a good book under your blanket, relax in your heated Nordic bath, observe the birds from your terrace, make grilled marshmallows by the fire, contemplate the starry sky, do a yoga session...

The Iconic Cities

COMPIEGNE: AN IMPERIAL SETTING (20 min)

Historic city in the Oise, Compiègne is known for its rich cultural heritage and its important role in the history of France, especially as a place of royal residence. The Château de Compiègne, former residence of French kings and emperors, is a magnificent example of classical architecture and now houses museums dedicated to history and decorative arts.

SENLIS: FRENCH CHARM (35 min)

In this ancient medieval city, stroll through the city center, visit the Cathedral and the Museum of Art and Archeology to finish by strolling around the ramparts... The historic stones of the buildings give the soft atmosphere from another time.

CHANTILLY: A JOURNEY IN TIME (50 min)

Chantilly is a picturesque town, renowned for its sumptuous gardens and elegant atmosphere. The Château de Chantilly, surrounded by vast parks and home to the prestigious Condé Museum, is a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture and a treasure of art and history. Rebuilt in the 19th century, it is a jewel of French heritage thanks to its architecture, its interiors, its stables and its park.

The Unmissable Villages

PIERREFONDS (25 min) : This village in Hauts-de-France is one of the most characteristic in regional history. Its castle, built in the 14th century and restored in the 19th century by Viollet-le-Duc, is an emblematic example of French neo-Gothic architecture.

GERBEROY (1h15) : With its colorful half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries and its paved streets, Gerberoy seems suspended in time. Also, its multiple gardens make it a flowery city in France. This small hamlet, on the list of the most beautiful villages in France, will immediately charm you!

Armistice Museum activity

WAGIN & ARMISTICE MUSEUM (10 min): Dedicated to the memory of the two Armistices of 1918 and 1940, the Armistice Clearing Memorial is an essential place of memory and education.

OUR LADY OF OURSCAMP ABBEY (15 min) : Of this 12th century abbey, there are only ruins that stretch out to the sky. Of breathtaking beauty, the site takes the visitor along a long historical journey. The abbey was based on a first stone laid in 641 by the future Saint-Eloi, advisor to King Dagobert. It is even said that he had tamed a bear, hence the name Ourscamp (“bear field”)... Myth or reality? This bear dominates the Domaine du Haut de l'Abbaye where he was represented.

Hiking

The application Oise Rando invites you to discover walks and hikes on foot, on horseback and in VTC: Descriptions, photos, itineraries drawn on a map, car parks... are downloadable and accessible to all.

From the estate: Discover the “Saint Giotaine” walk, which takes you in the footsteps of Saint-Léger-aux-Bois, a village full of history. 2 possible paths: the small loop (6.15km), or the big loop (9.3km).

The forest of Compiegne : All year round, sunny days are ideal for going to the forest. In the middle of trees, animals and vegetation, it is a lot of fun to pedal as a family and to go for a walk.

Malsaucy peninsula

The Etang des Aulnes in Longueil-Sainte-Marie (35 min) : A peaceful spot for fishing, picnicking, and relaxing by the water.

The Sacy Marshes (40 min): With more than 1,000 ha, the Sacy Marshes are the largest wetland in Oise. They are of great ecological and heritage interest because of the many remarkable animal and plant species that live there.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau Park in Ermenonville (50 min) : An 18th-century English park, offering picturesque landscapes and walking paths inspired by Rousseau's philosophy.

Strong sensations

Climb to the Arb (15 min) : If sleeping in a cabin makes you want to gain even more height in the trees, become an adventurer with the 13 proposed routes... Several circuits are possible: children, discovery or confirmed.

Horseback riding (25 min) : The Manège des Bruyères welcomes you in a pleasant setting on the edge of the Compiègne forest. They have direct access to the numerous bridle trails, and offer horseback riding lessons from beginner to advanced levels.

Verberia Nautic Park (30 min) : On a sunny afternoon, try paddleboarding or even a “Water Addict” course. For the little ones, discover the beach and the inflatable games.

Unusual activities

Brewing workshop (25 min): To learn more about being a brewer, Cervus offers brewing workshops (4 hours). You will thus be able to make your own brewed beer and come and collect them after manufacture.

Visit & tasting of a whiskey production (20 min) : For lovers or curious about this ancestral craft, the Ergaster Distillery offers you an explanation of the Whisky production process from harvesting the barley to bottling.

Duration: 2 hours. Group: 6 to 12 people (for larger groups, contact us). Price: €15/person.
